What We Believe

  • We are Reformed in theology, so we believe only God can save people from their sin through the gift of faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. As a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ, we seek to joyfully honour God throughout our lives in response to His underserved goodness to us. “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:4-5, NKJV).

  • We submit ourselves to God’s will as revealed in His infallible and inerrant Word, the 66 books of the Bible. As the Holy Spirit applies God’s Word, so believers grow in Christ likeness and are called to witness of their hope of eternal life. We believe that the Spirit works to save sinners through the preaching of the Gospel, which is the good news that salvation in Christ is freely available to anyone who repents and believes in Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJV).

  • As we strive to grow in our love for God, so we also seek to grow in our love for our neighbours – through acts of mercy as well as by speaking the truth in love. We practice believers’ baptism, and hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
